Brewers Association of Maryland to Host 2nd Annual Baltimore Craft Beer Festival
One Day Festival will Feature Everything Local…Craft Beer, Food, Music, Homebrew

(Baltimore, Maryland)- Six days after Baltimore Beer Week festivities wind down, you’re going to be wandering around the house looking for something to do involving delicious craft beer.

You’re in luck! Come and celebrate local brews at the Baltimore Craft Beer Festival, presented by the Brewers Association of Maryland (BAM), on Saturday, October 22, 2016 from 12 noon-6 pm at Canton Waterfront Park (3001 Boston Street, Baltimore, MD 21224). The event, held rain or shine, will include beer tastings from over 40 Maryland breweries, a homebrew competition sponsored by Nepenthe Homebrew, live music, outdoor games, trivia contests, and delicious food from local food trucks. Proceeds from the event will go to the Brewers Association of Maryland and Strong City Baltimore, a community based organization focused on neighborhood revitalization in Charm City. The VIP Pass will be $65.00 (12 noon entry); General admission ranges from $35.00 (3:30 pm entry) to $45.00 (2:00 pm entry) for adults and $20.00 for designated drivers. There will also be a BAM Bus from various locations around the state for $75.00 and includes transportation to and from the festival as well as VIP access. The exciting one-day festival will feature several food vendors including BricknFire Pizza Company, Choptank Oyster Company, Greek on the Street, Jimmy’s Famous Seafood, Kooper’s Chowhound Burger Wagon, Smoking Swine and the Green Bowl Food Truck. The featured bands playing at the festival include The Muddy Crows, Framing Clinton, and Brent & Co. There will be a BAM Bus providing an all-inclusive roundtrip bus tour, including VIP tickets to the festival with pick-up and drop-off locations at Barley & Hops Grill & Microbrewery (Frederick • Departing at 10:30 am); Denizens Brewing Co (Silver Spring • Departing at 10:30 am); Jailbreak Brewing Co (Laurel • Departing at 11:00 am); Independent Brewing Co (Bel Air • Departing at 10:45 am); Mully’s Brewery (Prince Frederick • Departing at 10:00am); Scorpion Brewing (Owings • Departing at 10:30 am).

Sponsored by Nepenthe Homebrew, local homebrewers can submit a “Harvest Ale” to be reviewed and judged by a panel of Head Brewers and festival attendees. Homebrew sampling runs from 2:30-5:30 pm and guest MD Brewers include Roy Fisher, head brewer of Waverly Brewing Co., Mike McDonald, head brewer of Key Brewing Co., David Thompson, brewer from White Marsh Brewing Co., and Brian Roberts, owner and brewer of Mad Science Brewing Co.

Bike racks will be available at the festival or attendees can take the Water Taxi (BTW & HC Landing 16)
